New advocacy webinar: Minnesota Libraries Legislative Update

The latest addition to the Minitex Library Advocacy series of webinars will feature the members of the Minnesota Library Association's Legislative Committee. The webinar will take place on Tuesday, December 13. The deadline for registration is Monday, December 12.

It's hard to imagine a single Minnesotan who wouldn't benefit from the chance to ask a librarian a question online, any time of day, any day of the week. You can give your patrons easy access to research support and help Minitex promote a great service by using the tools in the Promote section of the AskMN website.

Council of Academic Library Directors holds annual meeting

The Council of Academic Library Directors (CALD) held its annual meeting at Bethel University on Friday, November 4. Discussions at the meeting touched on staff recruitment, open educational resources, space design, and more. Thirty-two staff people from 25 libraries attended the meeting.

The 2022 MN+ Digital Collections Conference and Minnesota Digital Library Annual Meeting took place Monday, October 17 in person at the St. Paul Union Depot and virtually on Tuesday, October 18th. The conference featured two keynote speakers and 15 breakout sessions.

The Metro State Library invites applications for the new position of Library Operations Manager. The incumbent will supervise staff and oversee day-to-day library building use. Applications are due by November 9.
