Share your story with MDL's creative writing contest

Submit your writing for the Minnesota Digital Library (MDL)'s creative writing contest! Using any item in MDL as a prompt, participants can write a fictional short story, poem, or other creative piece, and winners will be published in an online exhibit.

Update on the Minitex Wikimedia Project

From August 2024 - February 2025, Minitex partnered with 12 organizations and the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) to add their open access digital images from the Minnesota Digital Library to Wikimedia Commons. 352,068 files were contributed to Wikimedia Commons, and participants enriched 62 Wikipedia articles, adding 81 images. To date, the images that were added to Wikimedia Commons have over 4 million views.
