The Minnesota Digital Library (MDL) is launching a new creative writing contest. Using any item in MDL as a prompt, participants will write a fictional short story, poem, or other creative piece. Winning stories will be published in a special online exhibit. The deadline is November 30, 2025.

The Minnesota Digital Library (MDL) has published a new online exhibit - "The Threshing Crew: Community Supported Farming."
From August 2024 - February 2025, Minitex partnered with 12 organizations and the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) to add their open access digital images from the Minnesota Digital Library to Wikimedia Commons. 352,068 files were contributed to Wikimedia Commons, and participants enriched 62 Wikipedia articles, adding 81 images. To date, the images that were added to Wikimedia Commons have over 4 million views.
