Promote Minnesota's statewide book club at your library

The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library have created a set of promotional materials for Minnesota libraries to use as they promote the tenth edition of One Book | One Minnesota, which gets underway April 3. In honor of National Poetry Month, the program will feature "Follow the Blackbirds" by Minnesota Poet Laureate Glen Nell Westermann.

Minitex is seeking a Cataloging & Metadata Education Librarian to join its Digital Initiatives and Metadata Education unit. The position is responsible for developing and delivering instruction and other professional development opportunities and for communicating the latest information on cataloging and metadata standards to library professionals in Minnesota and beyond. The position also manages the Minitex Contract Cataloging Program and supports the activities of the Minnesota Digital Library, a service of Minitex. THE DEADLINE TO APPLY IS NOW MARCH 17.

Flexible training for media specialists at St. Cloud State University

St. Cloud State University offers a 31-49 credit master's program for library media specialists as well as a 30-35 credit certificate program. Rolling admissions enable students to begin in the fall, spring, or summer semester. Scholarships and financial aid are available.

MNLINK transition project update: Vendor demos complete

All vendor demos in response to MNLINK Transition Task Force's request for procurement have been held, and usability and accessibility evaluations are ongoing. Minitex runs MNLINK, Minnesota's statewide interlibrary loan portal. The software that makes MNLINK possible, VDX, will be retired by OCLC in June 2024.
