I took an online course through Library Juice Academy on Student Staff Development run by Jeremy McGinniss. During four weeks we worked through concepts such as the importance of student staff, having clear expectations, and how to engage with the growth of our staff over time. Reading material and some direction was provided. However, I think discussion with other student supervisors was most useful. I came away from the class feeling refreshed because I have ways to improve I probably would not have thought of.
If I get the chance, I would like to take another course through Library Juice Academy. When I do, I hope to see your name on the roster!
