There's an SAA course coming to Minneapolis this spring! Arrangement and Description: Fundamentals introduces the basic principles, concepts, and tools that archivists use to establish both physical and intellectual control over archival records. Instructors Pam Hackbart-Dean and Mary McRobinson will help students:
- Apply the common arrangement of various types of collections and material formats.
- Identify the essential elements of a finding aid.
- Evaluate and understand the day-to-day decisions made in arranging and describing archival materials.

The course runs April 18–19 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Minneapolis Institute of Art in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It counts toward the in-person requirement for the A&D program. Register today!
