The funding lost was intended to support the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development's (DEED) Digital Opportunity Plan. DEED's plan had been approved by the U.S. Department of Commerce as a part of the federal Digital Equity Act in 2024.

The QuickCheck-X™ is a user-friendly self-checkout system for library patrons, featuring a touch screen monitor that provides step-by-step instructions for checking out various library materials. It supports traditional barcode labels and electromagnetic (EM) security strips, and is available in configurations including RFID and barcode-only. The system is modular, allowing additional security features, and includes remote administration software for monitoring and managing multiple stations, updating software, and generating usage reports.

The Minitex Staff Art Show featured 54 artworks by 11 staff members. The show took place from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, in the Minitex Sun Room. The works will remain on display through Wednesday, June 4.
