The new MNLINK public interface launched Monday, Sept. 19, 2016. We had a couple hiccups that were resolved quickly. The new MNLINK uses WorldCat Discovery for the search. This program has all search results and content permalinked.
Tyler Irvin from SELCO discovered that he was able to create permalinks from the logic of a failed search within their Sirsi Enterprise that can link out to the MNLINK record. The Sirsi Enterprise uses the same permalink formatting as WorldCat Discovery. You can see how that works for SELCO here:
1. Go to the SELCO catalog.
2. Search for the phrase "animal piggyback songs."
3. With the failed search, you should see the option to Try Searching MNLINK.
Please let us know if you have any specific feedback or something you have done with the new MNLINK. You can contact us at mnlink@umn.edu.
