Mnlink Request Item
Body

MNLINK has been using OCLC's WorldCat Discovery as an end-user searching and requesting platform for almost five years. This platform will be undergoing a modernization of the display on August 4. These changes will not affect the MNLINK.org homepage.

OCLC has been rolling out back-end and interface improvements over the last several months which users could preview for testing. The biggest change is the placement of the blue 'Request Item' button, which will be on the right side of a standard computer display. Previously, when accordion areas were expanded, users had to scroll down the screen to find the button, a process that made placing a request more confusing than it needed to be. In addition to this change, the new interface also has significant accessibility updates and performance improvements.

MNLINK staff have been keeping an eye on the changes and are working to update our FAQ documentation, tutorials and videos. These new training and problem-solving tools will be available soon.

Please reach out if you encounter any issues or have questions via the MNLINK helpdesk.
