Body

The Minnesota Digital Library (MDL) has a new contributing organization: Senate Media Services. Senate Media Services is a nonpartisan office of the Minnesota State Senate. It provides gavel-to-gavel coverage, produces a weekly public affairs television program, and offers photographic and multi-media services to raise public awareness of the Senate and legislative activities.

The Senate Media Services collection in MDL includes recent photographs of Minnesota’s state senators at work discussing legislation on the senate floor. Many of them illustrate bipartisan collaboration among senators from all corners of the state. These photographs are part of a rotating collection that have been displayed in the tunnels at the state capitol, and they are now available to browse online, as well.

MDL is glad to add these 21st century photographs to the historical record of state government in Minnesota. Browse the new Senate Media Services collection on our website today.
