Staff from the Minnesota Digital Library (Sara Ring, Greta Bahnemann, and Jason Roy) submitted three animated GIFs to the competition and, though we didn't win, we would still like to share our GIFs with you.

Our three-part series featured Minnesota's most famous resident, Paul Bunyan, and his faithful ox, Babe, on a road trip.

Paul's first stop was Moose Lake in the Minnesota Boundary Waters.

Paul's next stop was Mount Rushmore, near Keystone, South Dakota.

Paul Bunyan's last stop is in Wyoming at America's first national park: Yellowstone. According to Paul, Yellowstone also features one of America's first water parks: the Upper Falls of the Yellowstone River!

See all the entries, including the winners, on the competition's Tumblr blog.
