GIF IT UP 2016 winners announced

The DPLA GIF IT UP winners were announced, and we included a few of them below. Though our submission using Minnesota Reflections content was not chosen, we would still like to share it.

DPLA's GIF IT UP competition returns

DPLA's annual GIF IT UP competition returns October 1 and runs through October 31. Minitex staff will be entering the contest (Paul Bunyan may be making an appearance for the 3rd year in a row), and we would love to see more Minnesota entries!

Minitex staff enter the 2015 GIF IT UP contest

This year Minitex staff submitted a few animated gifs to the GIF IT UP 2015 contest. This is a challenge presented by the Digital Public Library of America and DigitalNZ for individuals to find and create gifs from copyright-free heritage material using the search portals of DPLA, Trove, Europeana, and DigitalNZ.

Minitex & Paul Bunyan Enter the GIF IT UP Competition

The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) and DigitalNZ teamed up this fall to host a competition called GIF IT UP. They asked contributors to submit animated GIFs made from public domain or openly licensed digital content discoverable via the search portals at DPLA and DigitalNZ. The winners of the competition were announced on the DPLA website.
