The Kanabec County Historical Society, located in Mora, Minnesota, preserves and maintains the history of Kanabec county. The Kanabec County Historical Society collects three-dimensional objects, photographs, newspapers, birth, death, and marriage records. Together these collections record the stories of county citizens. The items contributed by the Kanabec County Historical Society to the Minnesota Digital Library depict life in east central Minnesota. The Kanabec County Historical Society facility is open year-round and is located on 37 acres bordering the Snake River.
