Panel discussion: Hotspots, laptops, and more

In addition to sessions offered by Minitex staff, Minitex Connect will include an array of sessions presented by library community members. This panel will feature staff from public and academic libraries and their firsthand experiences loaning out digital equipment. Registration for Minitex Connect is now open, and there is no cost to attend.

The Secret of Dreadwillow Carse selected for statewide book club

The seventh edition of One Book | One Minnesota will feature "The Secret of Dreadwillow Carse" by award-winning Minnesota author Brian Farrey. The book club will run from March 28 through May 15, including a discussion with the author on May 11.

Registration is open for Minitex Connect

The inaugural edition of Minitex Connect will take place May 3-4, 2022. The fully online conference will consist of two half days, with each half day beginning at 8:30 a.m. Registration is now open. There is no charge to attend.

Gerri Moeller, head of Minitex's Resource Sharing & Delivery services, has been tapped by NISO to serve on a working group that will develop a "consensus framework for implementing controlled digital lending (CDL) of book content by libraries." She'd love to hear about your experiences with CDL.

Call for proposals: Lake Superior Libraries Symposium

The organizers of the Lake Superior Libraries Symposium (LSLS) invite breakout session proposals for their tenth conference, which will be held virtually on June 10, 2022. All proposals should be submitted by March 18. The conference will center on what library workers and libraries need in order to thrive despite current library and world challenges.
