Coming in April: RDA for Beginners

Minitex is offering RDA for Beginners, another free virtual class in the Cataloging Basics series, on April 12th. Presenter Lizzy Baus (Macalester College) will guide you through the basics and beyond, exploring the history, development, philosophy, and conceptual models of Resource Description and Access (RDA), the current cataloging standard.

Metro State University seeks Electronic Resource Librarian

Metro State University is looking to hire a tenure-track librarian. The position will carry full faculty status and responsibilities. The position requires an ALA-accredited master’s degree in library and/or information science earned no later than May 15, 2023. The application deadline for this position has been extended to March 13.

Save the date for Teen Lit Con 2023

Teen Lit Con 2023 will take place on April 29 at Two Rivers High School in Mendota Heights. Schools in the seven county metro region may apply for transportation awards for reimbursement of up to $350 to hire buses for students to attend Teen Lit Con.

Packer has been awarded multiple storytelling and best-in-fringe awards. The daughter of a writer and librarian, she specializes in helping organizations shape and tell their stories.
