April 30 is El Día de los Niños/El Día de los Libros!

On April 30, Latino/x communities celebrate "El Día de los Niños" (which translates to “The Day of the Children”) a day to show appreciation for Children and all they do. Over time, the holiday has grown to include advocacy for children's health, well-being, and education (including literacy).

For those of you who aren't already aware, there are two instances of Ebooks Minnesota. There is Ebooks Minnesota, which currently holds 9,432 titles, and Ebooks Minnesota for Schools, which contains 7,808 ebooks.

Promote Minnesota's statewide book club at your library

The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library have created a set of promotional materials for Minnesota libraries to use as they promote the tenth edition of One Book | One Minnesota, which gets underway April 3. In honor of National Poetry Month, the program will feature "Follow the Blackbirds" by Minnesota Poet Laureate Glen Nell Westermann.
