Quick Summary
Interested in learning more about the Open Education Network? Minnesota academic libraries qualify for automatic benefits and deep discounts as part of Minitex’s consortial membership in the OEN.
MN academic libraries can participate in many of the Open Education Network's members-only programs and receive discounts on some paid programs like the Certificate in OER Librarianship.
Libraries can also opt to upgrade to Allied membership at the cost of $551 annually. This provides a library their own local access to the data dashboard, as well as to the Google Group community of practice, and Community Hub (which consortial members do not have access to). This is a significant discount from the $1,654 community fee that Institutional members pay who are not associated with a member consortium. If this is something that your library is interested in learning more about, feel free to reach out to Barb Thees, Director of Community Engagement for the OEN, at thee0017@umn.edu to set up a 30 minute informational meeting to discuss these tools in more detail as well as the benefits of Allied membership.
