Minitex Conversations: Campus Bookstores coming up on April 22

This conversation is happening on April 22 at 2:00 PM and will explore the evolving relationship between libraries and campus bookstores. Join us to discuss challenges, opportunities, and strategies for collaboration, conflict, or coexistence. Registration is required.

Minnesota Open Educational Resources and Affordable Content community of practice meeting April 8

Discuss with colleagues the role of libraries in promoting, cataloging, and storing open resources created by faculty and other authors. Librarians at Minnesota State Universities in Mankato and Moorhead will share their experiences, after which participants are encouraged to share their experiences and questions in a group discussion.

Minnesota Open Educational Resources and Affordable Content community of practice meeting January 23

Discuss with librarian colleagues the role of technologies that can promote or enhance the use of open materials. We’ll have short explanations of Pressbooks, H5P, Hypothesis, Perusall, and MyOpenMath. Bring your experiences and questions about these and other technologies.

Kickoff event for the Minitex Network for Open & Affordable Practices (MNOP) program is open for registration

The Minitex Network for Open & Affordable Practices (MNOP) is officially kicking off with an event on November 14, 2024. Join us for program lead Greg Argo providing more detail about the program, a little interactive polling and discussion, and guest speaker Abbey Elder, the Open Access & Scholarly Communication Librarian at Iowa State University and the Iowa Statewide Open Education Coordinator.

Minitex Network for Open & Affordable Practices website now live

The Minitex Network for Open & Affordable Practices (MNOP) is a new Minitex program supporting librarians and other academic support staff in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota working to increase adoption of open educational resources and library affordable content strategies. Its website has soft launched in advance of the program's official kickoff in November.

Registration funding available for Open Pedagogy and Information Literacy course

**UPDATE 8/21/24: ALL AVAILABLE SEATS FOR THE OPEN PEDAGOGY & INFORMATION LITERACY COURSE HAVE BEEN FILLED.** Learn more about open pedagogy through this Library Juice Academy course! This course offering is a pilot program and the course runs from September 2 through September 29. It is open to library staff from Minnesota and funding is available for up to eight attendees.

Registration Funding Available for Creative Commons Certifications

This pilot program will continue this summer, with the course running June 10 through August 18. It is open to library staff from Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota.
