Copyright
The requesting library is responsible for ensuring all copy requests comply with U.S. copyright law. Sections 107 (Fair use) and 108 (Reproduction by libraries and archives). There may be related regulations, guidelines, policies, and/or procedures to take into consideration such as the CONTU Guidelines (1979).
When you send a request for a copy from a journal, book, or any printed material, Minitex will not process it unless it has a copyright designation stated clearly on the request form. Libraries use the following to indicate the request complies with copyright:
- CCG = Complies with the Copyright Guidelines (CONTU)
- CCL = Complies with the Copyright Law
Page Limits
Minitex staff will copy up to 75 exposures per article. If the request is referred to another library, page limits may differ.
