The new year already has a month logged into it, but it isn't too late to look at another "best of" list of the past year.
OCLC recently released two separate lists (fiction and non-fiction) of the Top 25 most circulated ILL requests through their system. The lists don't appear to be in any particular order, but I have a feeling that many of you have seen these books circulating many times over in your own libraries.
Taking a glance at the lists myself, I see familiar covers that come through the Referral Processing Area at Minitex on the daily, especially from the fiction list. In particular, Marta Molnar's The Secret Life of Sunflowers is one I feel I see come through the most. I'm actually surprised Joe Siple's The Five Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride didn't crack the list, that is also one that is appearing in our delivery tubs almost every day (perhaps we'll see it on the 2024 list).
With long patron waitlists developing for a lot of these books, I wouldn't be surprise if some of these continue to reign well into the first few months of 2024.
