I have been hearing a bit about an El Niño effect in the Pacific Ocean and how this might make for a milder than usual winter. I have also been hearing from my father-in-law (a farmer who watches the weather like it is his business) that this will be one of the most brutal winters we have had in recent memory.
I refuse to hedge my bets so I will be preparing for the worst in the hopes that my snow blower and shovel don't see much action. I will also try to keep everyone up on courier delays and cancellations in the event of a weather... err... event.
