Quick Summary

You may be wondering what is still operational. We do have staff working from home and they are able to deliver electronic resources to your library or patron.

Body

As previously announced Minitex Resource Sharing and Delivery services were suspended as of Tuesday, March 17. At this time, all Minitex delivery routes will be canceled through at least Friday, March 27.

You may be wondering what is still operational. We do have staff working from home and they are able to deliver electronic resources to your library or patron. Our access to electronic materials relies heavily on the collection owned and licensed through the University of Minnesota. While much of the content is academic in nature, we are able to provide PDF documents to fill interlibrary loan requests from electronic journals and chapters from ebooks. Our staff will transmit these items to your library using OCLC’s Article Exchange (provided your staff can send them on to the patron) or via MEDD (Minitex Electronic Document Delivery) which is a better option if we need to transmit articles directly to your patrons.

If your patrons or interlibrary loan office has not received electronic documents before and would like to receive items via Article Exchange or MEDD from Minitex, contact mtx-edel@umn.edu for assistance. We would love to help!
