Minitex has been the top interlibrary loan (ILL) lender on OCLC for years. OCLC recently released statistics for fiscal year 2018, and once again Minitex is the top lender for filled requests on the OCLC WorldShare ILL System.
OCLC WorldShare ILL is just one of several systems the staff at our office use to process interlibrary loan requests. In addition, we use the Aleph ILL system, VDX, Wisconsin Public Libraries SHAREit system and ILLiad.
Some of these systems are scheduled to be replaced in the near future. Alma ILL will replace Aleph ILL with the MnPALS libraries migration in January 2019. VDX will be replaced by OCLC's Relais D2D (Discovery to Delivery) product. ILLiad is being replaced by Tipasa. For Relais D2D and Tipasa we do not have migration dates at this time. We will keep you apprised as we learn more about the schedule for the new systems we'll be using when that becomes available.
