Propose a session for the 2021 Minitex Technical Services Symposium!
The 2021 theme is Good Trouble: Activism and Ethics in Technical Services and the conference will be held virtually on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
Share your experiences and best practices supporting and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in Technical Services! Have you found ordinary or extraordinary ways of reflecting and championing your diverse community and colleagues in your work? How do you bring an anti-bias approach to your work? We welcome proposals on complete projects as well as works in progress and emerging ideas.
Topics may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Reparations in Technical Services
- Accessibility considerations
- Anti-racist cataloging
- Inclusion and retention of diverse perspectives
- Knowledge equity
- Or more!
The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, October 1st. Session length is 45 minutes and the format could include single or multiple speakers, panel discussions, or other formats.
