Quick Summary
The City of Plymouth contributed a new collection of maps of Plymouth, Hennepin County, and the surrounding area to the Minnesota Digital Library.
The City of Plymouth maintains the Plymouth History Center in its original Town Hall building. This museum, research center, and oral history space was created to capture the vibrant past of the community. It also maintains an archive of historical documents and photographs, including maps.
Plymouth recently became the Minnesota Digital Library (MDL)’s newest contributing organization by sharing a collection of city maps and base maps that document Plymouth, parts of Hennepin County, and the surrounding area. These maps include land abstracts, street maps, park and trail systems, sectional maps, and survey maps. The maps are extremely large, so they are much easier to use now that they have been digitized by MDL.
