On Wednesday, February 17th, the Minnesota Digital Library is starting a series of monthly Open Office Hours for organizations with questions on how to implement standardized rights statements, available at rightsstatements.org, for their archival collection. These statements provide clear, standard information about the copyright status of individual items, and make it easier to understand how they might be used for educational and other purposes. Meant as a complement to our virtual training sessions about rights statements implementation, the next of which will be in March, the office hours are an opportunity to ask questions of our knowledgeable staff and go more in depth regarding assigning individual statements to specific collection materials. More information and registration for this free event is available here.
