We're pleased to announce a new collection in Minnesota Reflections: The Minnesota Library Association (MLA). MLA is an association of library supporters, representing all types of libraries by helping them accomplish together what none can do alone. The majority of the MLA archives reside at the Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) in their Manuscripts Collection. With permission and in collaboration with MNHS and MLA volunteers, a selection of the archives has been published to Minnesota Reflections.
The materials include information about education, development of technology, and library services to the public in Minnesota. Highlights include founding documents of the Association, scripts for a call-in radio show called Fact Finders (1938), the first traveling library list of books (1898), annual conference programs dating back to 1896, and association newsletters.
