Your L.L.&O. correspondent was traveling in the Saudi and Qatar regions recently and came across a young architect from Los Angeles who said, "All the work is in Saudi, UAE and Qatar." If you've ever been to Dubai and seen the marvel of a modern city grow out of the desert in a few short years, I'd say our architect friend is bag on. And in Qatar, hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2022 was just the beginning. Now the country has a gem of a national library.
