Quick Summary

As of July 1, links to the new Nursing and Allied Health databases in eLibraryMN will be activated and ready for use. Minitex Outreach and Instruction librarians will be offering professional learning opportunities and technical support as you integrate these resources into your library's collection.

The moment we have been waiting for arrived on July 1, and the new ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health and Ebsco CINAHL databases will be ready for use.  As described in a previous announcement regarding the new legislative funding that expands ELM nursing coverage, these resources will be available to all residents of Minnesota via the ELM portal.

EBSCO CINAHL Complete indexes the top nursing and allied health literature available, including nursing journals and publications from the National League for Nursing and the American Nurses Association.  For more detailed information on this resource, including full-text journal counts please visit the CINAHL Complete Take-Away-Guide

ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health contains a diverse mix of scholarly literature, clinical training videos, reference materials, and evidence-based resources, including dissertations and systematic reviews. For more detailed information on this resource, including full-text journal counts, please visit the ProQuest Support Site.

Minitex O&I staff will be offering webinars on these resources this fall.  If you are interested in setting up in-person instruction please send a message to and we will be happy to coordinate with you. Training will be announced in late August 2023.

To set up access to these databases from your library you can create links to these resources in one of two ways, ELM Links or Direct Links (what's the difference?):
