Capstone's PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next now part of ELM

You may already know, but if not, PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next are now available via eLibrary Minnesota (ELM).  Capstone, "a trusted children’s publisher and interactive content producer," headquartered in Mankato, Minnesota, offers many education-related resources including print, digital, and blended media products. Via ELM, you can access PebbleGo: Animals and Biographies and PebbleGo Next: States and American Indian Studies.  For information specific to setting up access or linking to the PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next resources visit the set-up ELM access website, but please know you can always easily access PebbleGo and all of the ELM databases via the ELM Portal.

PebbleGo: Animals and Biographies, offers simple navigation, read-aloud audio, and text appropriate for K-3 readers. Each article is read by real voice actors, not computers, and has text highlighting for readers to follow along. It has guided keyword searching as well as a large visual search with information that is easy to find and recognize.  To make things more interactive, users can access extended learning opportunities with video and audio that accompany most articles, as well as a citation resource and an optional "Share What You Know" activity.  

PebbleGo Next: States and American Indian Studies, helps students in grades 3-5 learn about important concepts related to those topics. PebbleGo Next also offers read-aloud by professional voice actors and connects users to curriculum topics. PebbleGo Next includes three citation formats and critical thinking questions to improve comprehension. Look for more information to come on an August interface update to PebbleGo Next.  

Capstone offers a rich collection of Educator Resources for parents, teachers, educators, and media specialists. These include easy to use lesson plans and activities, video tutorials, MARC records, content maps, and promotional materials.
