Body

Your zodiac sign, your book recommendation!

Summer is here and we all know what that means: Reading! While everyone's out getting sunburnt, we’re getting sunburnt while reading. But with all the options, how do you choose? How about letting the stars guide you on your next literary journey? Below is a list of the genres you would most likely find interesting, based on general characteristics associated with each sign of the zodiac, along with ebooks available on Ebooks Minnesota to match. As a proud Gemini (cue the boos and tomato throwing), I can definitely vouch for my section. Give it a shot, maybe you’ll find your next summer read!

  • Aries (March 21 – April 19): Action & Adventure
Energetic and adventurous, fast-paced plots with strong protagonists overcoming challenges can make for a captivating read.
  • Taurus (April 20 – May 20): Romance (especially cozy ones)
You appreciate the smaller things in life, especially beauty and comfort. A soothing romance novel would be a good fit.
  • Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Science Fiction or Short Stories
As an avid Gemini advocate/defender, I can go on and on about why we are great. Curious with a side of impulsivity, Sci-fi's exploration of ideas and extraordinary conflicts can provide the stimulation needed to stay hooked. Just make sure you don’t go switching sides.
  • Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Historical Fiction
Cancerians do not shy away from their emotions and value connection. Stories rich in history that explore relationships or dynamics would resonate with them.
  • Leo (July 23 – August 22): Fantasy/Drama
Adventure draws you in, drama keeps you hooked. Grand stories with larger-than-life characters or even fantastical beasts will help keep you on the edge of your seat.
  • Virgo (August 23 – September 22): Mystery
Virgos always read the fine print. Analytical and detail-oriented, intricate mysteries will challenge them to be one step ahead to solve the puzzle.
  • Libra (September 23 – October 22): Romance or Poetry
Libras find beauty in harmony and value compassion. The lyrical language of poetry or a love story that conquers all could appeal to their sense of aesthetics and romance.
  • Scorpio (October 23 – November 21): Mystery/Horror
Sometimes you find yourself sympathizing with the villain, and that’s okay. Scorpios are captivated by intensity and high stakes that test their bravery. They'd enjoy the thrill of suspense-filled mysteries that explore the unknown.
  • Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): Philosophy, Humor
If there is laughter in a room, you are usually at the center of it. Sagittarians are optimistic and clever with an appetite for learning. Philosophical discussions with witty humor that broaden your horizons would be a good choice.
  • Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): Non-Fiction
Capricorns are always working on a project. Ambitious and goal-oriented. Self-help books or business narratives could inspire your next big idea.
  • Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): Science Fiction/Fantasy (Dystopian)
Independent with imagination to pair, aquarius tends to value forward thinking, especially the kind that opposes the norm. Sci-fi's exploration of future possibilities or dystopian fantasies that challenge the status quo would challenge them to view different perspectives and continue growing
  • Pisces (February 19 – March 20): Magical Realism
Pisceans are imaginative and compassionate. They'd get lost in rich fantasy worlds or the blend of reality and magic in magical realism.

It's important to remember that these are generalizations, and the signs of the zodiac are NOT the be-all and end-all of human personality. Not everyone adheres to their presumed traits, and some may enjoy various genres. But zodiac signs can be fun to consider. While you’re absorbing our sun’s rays, consider letting more distant stars lead you to your next book.
