Body

This New York Times bestselling book, Roadmap: The Get-It-Together Guide for Figuring Out What to Do with Your Life, has been updated and expanded with all sorts of new content and is available in Ebooks Minnesota. This book was created as part of Roadtrip Nation, a mission-driven nonprofit in storytelling and education.  In 2001, Roadtrip Nation traveled around the country and got advice from people who had found fulfilling work. They use these stories to help guide and inspire through career exploration.

This book urges the reader to silence any surrounding voices and focus on what makes them tick. It allows the reader to investigate, examine, and build upon who they are by offering prompts and activities. The text is nicely broken up by inspirational photos, illustrations, and quotes by individuals interviewed for the Roadtrip Nation project, including Jad Abumrad of Radiolab, and Holly Beck, a professional surfer.

Roadmap is a great alternative career guide to the traditional "what am I going to do with my life" book. Containing actionable, real-world wisdom, this book can help guide students, graduates, and even mid-life career changers toward something that is authentic and self-realized.
