In 1909, one hundred and fourteen years ago, the National Association of Colored People (NAACP) held its first conference.  Learn more about this historical milestone and the beginnings of the NAACP in Ebooks Minnesota by reading The NAACP.  Part of the Black American Journey series, written by Andrew Santella, this book discusses the early beginnings of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and focuses on the Niagara Movement, the fight against lynching, and the Civil Rights Movement.
