Did you know that aside from two-hundred seventy titles from Knowledge Unlatched, there are hundreds of OER scholarly resources and open textbooks in Ebooks Minnesota? These come from a few different places. Some of these OER resources are from PLOS (Public Library of Science), a nonprofit organization founded in 2001. They "strive to bring scientists together to share their work as rapidly and as widely as possible, to advance science and to benefit society as a whole." The open textbooks come from some of the best open textbook projects in the U.S. and Canada, including OpenStax, a publisher of openly licensed college textbooks based at Rice University, MIT, Penn State, the University of Minnesota, Rutgers, Duke, the University of Michigan, and others.
