MNLINK continues to move forward in anticipation of the new public discovery. Branding for the program will change in that we’ll no longer use the term Gateway, just calling the program MNLINK. The new logo was revealed a few months ago. But these are the easy issues!

A quarter-sheet handout to alert your patrons about the change is available.

The MNLINK marketing committee has also produced a FAQ with many anticipated questions for your staff.

This FAQ will continue to be updated as more questions come up, so please let Nick Banitt know if you encounter a question that you cannot answer. You may also use the MNLINK helpdesk link through the current MNLINK Gateway interface to ask questions.

Work continues on making the ELM (Electronic Library for Minnesota) resources available through MNLINK search results. The content will not require a login, and a search will display most records through a single click. The Ebooks Minnesota program will be available just as easily. I've been requesting availability checking information from each of the MNLINK participating libraries so we can revisit some options for improvement. That information will be pulled together and configured for VDX, which will continue to be the ILL request management program for at least the next two years. There is still work to do, but we’re getting closer.
