Quick Summary
In coordination with staff as well as key partners at the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, Minnesota Department of Education, and Policy Advisory Council, Minitex has issued a new strategic plan.
In fall 2023, the Minitex Leadership Team began the process of creating a new strategic plan. We coordinated with the Minitex staff and our partners at the Minnesota Office of Higher Education, the Minnesota Department of Education, and the Policy Advisory Council to identify our priorities. The resulting plan is centered on the theme of Connection, and will direct our work over the coming years.
The plan focuses on four Strategic Priorities:
- Connect People to Information. We play a crucial role in promoting knowledge, creativity, and social interaction by demonstrating the value of public resources in fostering education and community development, personal productivity, and cultural engagement.
- Connect People to Lifelong Learning. We support lifelong learning by building an active network of organizations to collectively provide services meeting the educational needs of residents at every stage of life.
- Connect People to Resources. We ensure libraries have the capacity to respond to local needs and serve their communities by leveraging economies of scale.
- Connect People to People. We create a more equitable environment for all by fostering collaboration, sharing resources, and promoting inclusivity.
A two-page version of the plan, including goals for each of the Strategic Priorities, is published on our website. If you have questions or feedback regarding the strategic plan, please contact us.
