Primary Function
This position provides advanced digitization services for the Digital Library Services unit working on a number of digitization projects. This work is done under the direction and supervision of DLS staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepare various physical formats for digitization including cross-referencing, correcting and/or creating inventory spreadsheets with particular emphasis on audiovisual material.
- Digitize print and text-based materials using various scanning equipment.
- Prepare material for shipping to external vendors.
- Handle post-scan administrative processes such as quality control review, editing, renaming, and file delivery.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to make independent decisions and also collaborate as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling archival, special collections, and other fragile materials.
- Familiarity with audiovisual formats in archival settings.
- Experience or familiarity working with different types of scanning equipment in a production environment.
- Experience or familiarity with photo editing software.
More information
This is a part-time, temporary position. The base pay is $17.50/hour.
