The University Libraries of the University of South Dakota seeks a collaborative, user-focused and service-oriented individual to serve as the Access Services Librarian of the Wegner Health Sciences Library. The overall purpose of this position is to support and advance the mission and objectives of the Library in the management and supervision of library personnel and the daily operation of services such as interlibrary loan and circulation.
The individual in this position will possess strong communication skills, including diplomacy, in order to provide services to users from multiple partner institutions with varying levels of online information access. The person in this position may also provide information on a wide array of other library services including technology, equipment, reserves, spaces, and more. This position reports to the Head of the Wegner Health Sciences Library.
