Join us at the University of North Dakota, a place that’s big enough to support great work, but small enough that you can make a difference. As the Engineering and Sciences Librarian, you will get to work with the College of Engineering & Mines, which has seven ABET accredited undergraduate programs, a variety of graduate programs, a number of research focus areas and the Jodsaas Center for Engineering Leadership and Entrepreneurship. For examples of recent student work, see the 2021 CEM Design Expo

The University of North Dakota is a mid-size, high research activity university where the library is an integral part of growing and expanding the university’s research enterprise. In 2017, UND was named among the “Most Innovative” institutions of higher education by US News & World Report, and in 2018, the UND Libraries were named “Most Innovative” by the 12-state Mountain Plains Library Association.  Our award winning OER program has saved our students almost $11 million. The library is centrally located on UND’s campus, and we just finished an $18 million renovation that includes an Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality Lab, the Writing Center and Campus IT.

Come work with a dedicated, focused team of librarians, staff, and campus partners at Chester Fritz Library in the student-centered Knowledge Commons. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and excellent benefits including full health insurance and TIAA retirement plans. Want to know more about the Library?
