Body

At Minitex, we collaborate with the library community to provide statewide services for learning and discovery. Our offerings include ebooks, encyclopedias, scholarly journals, local history, publishing tools, and much more. Minnesota's teachers and their students can take advantage of these opportunities throughout the year (even in summer).

  • Start a live online chat with a librarian, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through AskMN.
  • Access library collections beyond the walls of your local library with MNLINK, the online interlibrary loan portal to Minnesota's vast library resources.
  • Skip the search engine and find authoritative resources via eLibrary Minnesota, your portal to encyclopedia, magazine, journal, and newspaper articles, plus multimedia, primary sources, and more.
  • Discover Minnesota history by visiting the Minnesota Digital Library, a single searchable website featuring over 55,000 historical resources from nearly 200 cultural heritage organizations located in 84 of Minnesota's 87 counties.
  • Join Minnesota's statewide book club, One Book | One Minnesota, or choose from one of more than 10,000 ebooks to read at your leisure in Ebooks Minnesota, Minnesota's statewide ebook collection for readers of all ages. With Ebooks Minnesota there are no checkouts, and no returns.
  • Take what you've learned at the library and create a resource of your own using the online publishing tools from the Minnesota Libraries Publishing Project. When you're done writing, you (or your class) can publish your book online, or download it in an industry-standard print-ready format.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Minitex's support for libraries and learning. We look forward to supporting teachers and learners of every kind for the next 50 years, and beyond.
