Minnesota was well represented at this year's National History Day competition with several students being award medals, scholarships, special prizes, and national showcases.
Minnesota was well represented at this year’s National History Day competition and took home awards in several categories including First and Second Place medal winners, top finishers, Outstanding Entries, Women’s History Special Prize, National History Academy Scholarship, and several Honorable Mentions. There were student showcases with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, Smithsonian National Museum of American History, and the National Women’s History Museum. All-in-all, 60 Minnesota History Day students competed in over 20 categories, representing 36 entries, from 24 different schools.
