Body

The Hennepin County Bar Association (HCBA) has created a free to access legal resource called "Legal Stuff: Practical Information for Minnesotans." This guide, available in both English and Spanish, contains the basics of many laws in Minnesota pertaining to voting, jury duty, employment, sexual harassment, healthcare, rental housing, criminal law, immigration, and much more.

Dana Miner, Director of Legal Services for the HCBA, says "Legal Stuff is written by volunteer attorneys and updated to reflect current laws every few years. We have received tremendous positive feedback from social service agencies, educators, and the community. We hope you are able to get this valuable resource into the hands of your students and their families."

You can access the PDF version of Legal Stuff here. If you'd like to pick up physical copies of the booklets, they are available without charge if picked up at the Hennepin County Bar Association office in downtown Minneapolis. HCBA will also ship a single copy of both the English and Spanish versions to libraries free of charge. To learn more about this resource, check out the Hennepin County Bar Association website.
