Body

On March 14th, 2018, attendees of the annual Library Technology Conference at Macalester College in St. Paul will be able to see not one, but two presentations by DIME staff. The first, entitled Digital Preservation Day at the Library, will feature Continuing Education Librarian Sara Ring and Cataloging and Metadata Education Librarian Lizzy Baus talking about what you can do at your library or organization to help your community create and preserve digital images as well as host community scanning events. It will take place at 1:00 pm. The second, at 3:30 pm, is Minnesota Digital Library: Today and Tomorrow. In this presentation, MDL's Outreach Coordinator, Molly Huber, and its Metadata Librarian, Greta Bahnemann, will explore how the digital library has evolved over the years from a small collaborative project into a robust statewide program, and talk about recent initiatives such as Primary Source Sets, the Geospatial project and Rights Statements Standardization. Both sessions will be engaging and informative, so please join us!
