Essential Duties

The Curriculum and Instructional Designer works to advance knowledge, standards, and innovation related to curriculum development and instructional design. This position works with faculty and staff from across the University to: develop frameworks for curricula and courses; maintain institutional standards related to the delivery of instruction; foster faculty development, innovation, and exploration around pedagogy; work to advance consistent academic program delivery; and ensure existing University resources are incorporated into program and course development processes. This position will work with staff from Library Services, Information Technology, the Faculty Scholarship Center, and external educational service partners to accomplish key University goals related to curriculum design, instruction delivery, and faculty development.

Education and Experience

  • Master's degree required
  • 3-5 years in Instructional Design or a similar field in addition, curriculum development and assessment experience developing, delivering, and assessing in-person, online, and blended programs.
  • 2-4 years experience with direct student instruction, either in-person or online.
  • Experience designing and assessing online instructional materials
  • Experience with instructional technology and systems to include but not limited to; Blackboard, Collaborate, WebEx, and other related software.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and/or managing projects related to the creation of new training and professional development content using multiple delivery methods.
