The Minnesota Digital Library recently added a set of oral history interviews with descendants of abolitionists who lived in Minnesota prior to the Civil War. They were shared by a new contributing organization called Project Get Outdoors.

Update on the Minitex Wikimedia Project

From August 2024 - February 2025, Minitex partnered with 12 organizations and the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) to add their open access digital images from the Minnesota Digital Library to Wikimedia Commons. 352,068 files were contributed to Wikimedia Commons, and participants enriched 62 Wikipedia articles, adding 81 images. To date, the images that were added to Wikimedia Commons have over 4 million views.
