Literature that explores complex ideas exposes readers to material that challenges their thinking and can help widen perspectives and empower community voices. This literature can also promote diversity, equity, and inclusion by highlighting the experiences of minority groups and oppressed communities. With Ebooks Minnesota’s “Challenged and Banned Books” collection, you can access titles that explore diverse voices and experiences.  

Reviewing eLibraryMN and Ebooks Minnesota through a DEIA lens

Minitex Outreach and Instruction librarians have conducted a DEIA review of ELM and Ebooks Minnesota resources. The process that was used and results of the work are described in the slides, data visualizations, and title lists on a new DEIA Audit page in the 'Educators and Librarians' area of eLibraryMN.org.
