eLibraryMN Request for Proposal Bid Now Open!
The bid period for our statewide e-resources Request for Proposal (RFP) is now open! We seek proposals for electronic content resources for libraries and schools in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
Vendors can find the RFP at the University of Minnesota's Purchasing Services website. The bid is called Statewide E-Resources for Minitex. Once a vendor goes to the Statewide E-Resources for Minitex link they will see all corresponding information about the bid, responding, and process. This bid opportunity will close on January 9, 2026.
Trial Databases
Vendors that respond with proposals will provide trial access to their proposed resources. These trials will be available to the entire Minitex community. We encourage all community members to trial the resources and provide Minitex with feedback. Look for trial access to open mid-January 2026 and run through February. More information and links to trial databases will come in early January.
Timeline
A current timeline of the RFP process:
- November 21, 2025 - January 9, 2026: RFP bid open to vendors
- Mid-January 2026 - end of February: Trial databases and community feedback
- March: Shared E-Resources (SER) Task Force evaluations and vendor demonstrations
- May: New statewide e-resources finalized
- July 1, 2026: New statewide e-resources begin
