In the June 2015 OCLC WorldShare Interlibrary Loan release, new functionality was added, including:
- Book-club features that allow libraries to request and track multiple copies of the same title.
- New indicators that will ensure only desired charges via IFM are triggered. Lenders will be alerted if charges exceed the borrower’s maximum cost, or if they specify IFM payment, but the borrower has not.
- To address privacy issues, patron information is no longer passed to the lender.
It was also announced that a group of libraries are currently testing a future development which will trigger IFM charges at the Shipped status instead of Received. Plans are in place to implement that change with the August 2015 release.
