The 26th Enhancing Quality Staff (EQS) Symposium will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Continuing Education and Conference Center located at the scenic St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota. The EQS symposium serves library paraprofessionals and support staff from around the state of Minnesota by offering employees who may not have other opportunities for career enrichment the chance to network and attend sessions that focus on balancing professional and personal growth. The symposium consists of lectures, hands-on workshops, and tours on a variety of subjects ranging from general wellness to hot topics in the workplace.

Some sessions for this year’s symposium include; well being, human trafficking, social media for libraries, makerspaces, identity theft, self-defense, Pet Away Worry & Stress (PAWS), art exhibit spaces in libraries, and the Electronic Library for Minnesota (ELM). You can register on the conference website beginning Monday, April 2, 2018.
