The three-part webinar series explores innovative ways to engage your community in digitizing, preserving, and sharing local history. Learn more about how to bring neighbors, families, and history enthusiasts together at your library or archive for local history projects. Each session will cover practical strategies for fostering collaboration and making meaningful connections.

Session 1: Hosting ScanDay Events
Date: September 11th, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Presenter: Trevor Martinson, North Dakota State Library 
Discover how to organize community events where participants digitize their family and personal collections, uncovering local history and contributing to shared historical archives. 

Session 2: Scan for Keeps in Minnesota
Date: September 18th, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Presenters: Miranda Stueckrath (Stearns County Historical Society), Mollie Stanford (Arrowhead Library System), and Madeline Jarvis (Two Harbors Public Library)
Learn how 3 different organizations used the free Scan for Keeps digitization kit loan program of the Minnesota Digital Library to offer scanning events where participants digitized their personal photos and documents.

Session 3: Creating Public Digitization Spaces
Date: September 25, 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Presenters:  LeRoy Harris (New Ulm Public Library), Andrea Herman (Saint Paul Public Library), Jennifer Jackson (Ramsey County Library), Brian Lind (Rochester Public Library), and Michele Pollard (Hennepin History Museum)
